FYI the Colorado Open (local CrossFit competition) has opened registration. You can register here.
This event is hosted by Skip & Jody at Front Range CrossFit. It is a great opportunity for you to compete if you are so inclined. This competition is for everyone - not some event like regionals for CF Bad Asses only. You can scale/modify. A bunch of us did it last year and it was a blast.
Competing is great for goal setting, hitting PR's and generally pushing yourself to a new level that you do not normally realize in your day to day training.
Please talk amongst yourselves, and if some of you want to do this I will start up another competition class and we'll get training for it. Let me know ASAP!

I'll train for it!
I am not interested in competing as an individual, but i am open to being on the affiliate team if anyone else is up for it? Ian, any thoughts?
It doesn't seem like that will be an option. I believe we would have to have 2 athletes competing as individuals. In addition, the requirements for the team are very strict. There is no scaling. Everyone has to have handstand push-ups and muscle-ups. Also, Skip emailed a chart with weights for various lifts at the team event and some of them are beyond the ability of almost everyone at our gym.
well that is just kind of silly of him then!
