CrossFit Total (Jennifer's B-day WOD)

Sum of the best of 3 attempts at the squat, press and deadlift.

I thought that I got 305 on the dead, but I only got 295#

All 3 of my maximum's were PR's tonight! Sweet! And Julie, way to kick butt on the 2X body weight on your deadlift!! You ROCK!

Damn Kyle - great work man, that's a HUGE deadlift.

I had 205 on squat and then had to pick up my boy. My plan is to be at open gym to finish push press and deadlift....300# deadlift, here I come.

There were some real triumphs tonight! Those moments are the payoff for all your hard work. Excellent performances from everyone and great work from our newcomers. Joni and Jared looked like veterans today and they are just getting started. Jennifer slayed her 225 deadlift. Kyle's 405 dead was awesome to behold. Julie casually pulled out a 2x body weight deadlift at 205 to make the board. Julie if anyone might be able to one day crank a 3x deadlift its going to be you! Dean, I'll have to try for a 1k another day. I foresee a lot of folks getting 1k+ totals in the near future!

that was fun, you're all inspiring - one comment for the group...i have bruises on my arches??! There is a purple area covering both arches...is it not a good idea to do heavy lifting with arch support? does this sound familiar to anyone?

Hey Joni - not sure what shoes you were wearing since I wasn't there. Guessing they were some kind of running shoe. Have not seen that though. Sounds strange.

Generally, running shoes are not good heavy lifting shoes. There are "weightlifting" shoes and even shoes that are more flat in their design are better than running shoes.

Sounds like you just bruised yourself though and although it is weird you should be fine. In my non-medical expert opinion.
