Click the pic to view the gallery

3 rounds of:
Squats
KB Swings (16/12)
Push-Ups
20 yard sprints
Hang Power Snatch (75/55)

We are doing this fight gone bad style (saving fight gone bad and figuring out a way to participate in the fundraiser on 9/26):

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep. Each person has a dedicated partner who is counting and keeping a tally.

Daily Leaders:
1.) Ian: 405
2.) Terry: 318
3.) Adam: 281
4.) Mike: 276
5.) Jennifer: 264 (Leader's board after her second day back!?)

Nick: 245
Troy: 263
Matt: 262
Kyle: 247
Rob: 239
Hal: 149
Justin: 197 (mod)
Angie: 223 (mod)
Stacy: 193 + row distances? (mod) (sorry Stacy, I got confused I think you wrote your meters on the board but the rowing was supposed to be calculated by calories)
Dani: 180 (mod)
Matt: 281 (ST)
Tara: 294 (ST)

Great job guys, that was a fun one. And congrats and great job to Hal and Justin on their first class!

Please check out Skip Miller's email below regarding the fundraiser:

Dear Rocky Mountain Affiliates,

We're happy to announce that HQ is strongly behind all your efforts this year to raise funds for the approaching Fight Gone Bad IV fund raiser benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project. We've been asked to provide support so that our region can develop opportunities for everyone who wants to get involved to have as much support as HQ and the CrossFit Foundation can supply. There will be significantly more media attention this year and we hope each affiliate can get on board.

As in the past, there will be groups for affiliates with less than 25 participants and those with over 25 participants. We want to provide the means for those of you who may not have a large group, or who just want to get together in a fun large group with multiple affiliates, to organize locations within our Rocky Mountain Region for this event. At the same time, if you have a motivated small group and are looking to stay at your facility for the event, we want you to have access to every bit of information that you can to make for a fun and successful FGB IV.

HQ has put out word that we're having a friendly competition amongst regions for donations this year. Combining our strengths and reaching out to the surrounding communities for donations, we have a great chance to bring home the new regional trophy (similar to the Stanley Cup we're told).

The event organizers have put up a website at: http://www.fgb4.org/ It's updated very frequently and has great content.

Every Tuesday, the Affiliate blog will feature updates for the event, including the most recent announcement of this year's effort, with the regional competitions, today.

If you want to host a large event at your gym, please keep us informed so we can help direct athletes to you as smaller Affiliates may be looking for a place near them in your respective counties/areas. We've heard there are a number of plans to have larger events within our region. As an example, Chris Brown at Emerfit in Fort Collins is holding FGB for the 3rd time and he has a facility that could accommodate about a hundred athletes. If you are in Northern Colorado and would like to do FGB in with a bunch of CrossFitters, hit Chris up and start getting people together. If you are in the Denver area and would like to do something similar, FRCF would be happy to host you as well.

The key for this event is that we need to start on the fundraising piece. Whether it's our kids raising awareness and spreading the word to our neighbors, or most of us talking with our co-workers, clients and friends, these worthwhile charities will benefit most from our prior planning. Let's start now.

Thanks very much for your participation. We'll relay information as we get it. Call or write if you have any questions!

Respectfully,
Skip
