Todd - generally they are named after fallen soldiers and police officers. Check the CrossFit faq page...

We'll see. Just show up. Maybe it will have to be something else.

We can run in the rain you wimps. I'll be there, with my snorkle...

It's just rain... Plus it's kind of fitting since this guy was a SEAL.

I am with Steve! I can swim! woot! used to be a swimmer! NOT a RUNNER!

A good friend of mine just did this and he stated that it was one of the hardest wods he ever did? Ian do you think 18 people will show up for this one??? "In honor of Navy Chief Petty Officer Mark Carter, 27, of Virginia Beach, VA who was killed in Iraq 11 December 2007." Rain or not, i think we need to suck it up.

You'll welcome the rain - trust me. It is actually the perfect weather for this workout.

Anniversary today, so I went in early. 19 years.

I was dreading this workout. I was right to. 38+ minutes (some will go faster - I was slow). Ya'll have fun! Glad I'm done. Rain felt good.

Mauler said...

UH OH--38 minutes for super steve means no less than 60 minutes for me. yikes!

Chappy said...

They are also named after firemen jackass! Not just cops and soldiers.

cathmac said...

for the record I had every intention of being there if i could. :) I was going to type even with the runs.. but wow.. that would be funny but too gross right? :)

can't wait to see the pictures!!!!

Chappy, gotta respect Firemen (and Fireladies); they never send you to jail and very frequently save your ass...

NinaNevada said...

I did it! It took me a loooong time but I did it and I have the bruises across my shoulders and collar bones to prove it. Oh and a random speckley bruise on my thigh, from the bar.

I actually love running in the rain. It was a nice break from those stupid squat things. Grrrr.

NinaNevada said...

Oh and CONGRATS Steve! Happy Anniversary!

depnardi said...

This was a tough one. You are right Chappy, it includes firemen and women too! Even Dean pointed out everyone loves them... unlike us cops! Happy Anniversary Steve!
