We will be closed July 3rd, 4th and 5th in observance of Independence Day. However, we will do "Murph" on Friday the 3rd at 10:30 AM. Everyone is welcome to participate.
This is taken from the CrossFit FAQ regarding this workout:
In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it 'Body Armor.' From here on it will be referred to as 'Murph' in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

I have a really sharp vest black with some nice pinstripes. So why do I want to wear it on the workout?
oooh yeah with your curly chest hair only underneath! H-O-T!
or the exact opposite of that...
20 lb vest let me know if you need one I have 2 extras
Jeremy - is there a time limit to this....as far as you not wanting to be at the gym all day. We're thinking about doing it but I honestly believe it would take me 2 hours to complete that.
you can do it! I will bring the Bud light lime and some rose' if that will help...
Can we just do the M U in murph?
Derek,
I did a half Murph last time in about 2x:00, that might be a good compromise?
Nah, go as long as you want to go. I think I was over an hour when we did it last time. It was a very memorable workout and worth the effort.
I will be bringing post-Murph beers. Yes Lorie; Bud Light Lime the rose' of beer...
You know... It is still a crime that I cannot partake in good beer... but really... Bud light lime is like a windex compared to corona light with a REAL lime in it!
lol
