WOD 10/9/09

My hoodies have been popular lately!

"Get Your Goat On!"

Short story - pick 2-3 exercises that you suck at, that are your nemesis, that you despise. Then put them in a WOD that you design. You choose the order, the reps etc. We will help you if you need it. Let's try and keep them short, 10-12 minutes target.

Will we hear crickets tomorrow for Friday's WOD? Are you thinking I already programmed your "Goat" workout this week and why the hell would you want to do another? Or are you gonna step-up?

Concept borrowed from the CrossFit Community.

Oh ya, don't say I never let you do your own programming!

Marc: 4:22
Terry: 7:15
Corene: 11:02 (4 1/2)
Derek: 10:51
Lorie: 8:47
Steve: 5 rounds
Nate: 7 rounds
Ian: 10:35
Kari: 11:09
Danny: 5:32
Andres: ?
Dean: 4 1/2 rounds
Todd: 9 rounds
Kyle: 21:26
Julie: 12 rounds (whole lotta' full on ring dips)
Ben: 11:14 (weighted pistols!)
Jen M.: 5 rounds

Way to get in here and face your demons guys. Ok, that might be a little dramatic, but it might not. Either way, great job.

Lorie, it was a struggle not to post your pouty face pic, but in the end Nate and Kari won out.

Lastly, please welcome Marc Montoya to the gym when you get a chance. He was here tonight. I'm so glad there's another bald guy around. And whatever you do, don't show him your "dukes".

A little more inspriration...

Adam asked that we post this - thanks Adam.

In May, Lyoto Machida electrified the mixed martial arts world with a stirring knockout of Rashad Evans. On Saturday, October 24th, “The Dragon” will make the first defense of his UFC light heavyweight crown in the main event of UFC 104 against former PRIDE star Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, who is coming off back-to-back knockouts of Chuck Liddell and Mark Coleman.

In the co-feature, two of the top young heavyweight contenders in the sport will clash, as unbeaten Cain Velasquez takes on former IFL star “Big” Ben Rothwell in what promises to be one of the most memorable bouts of 2009.

Sunday's Race for the Cure Info.

Race For The Cure Update / Info:

First I want to thank you all for signing up to be on team Crossfit Littleton and for all the donations collected. As a team we collected over $1200 which is nearly 5 times the amount I was shooting for ($250). This just shows again what a great bunch of Crossfitters we are!!

Here is a link for race day details and parking information http://www.komendenver.org/site/PageServer?pagename=rfcd_race_details_overview It sounds like more people want to walk than run so we will all meet for the 8:00 walk at the T-Shirt tent at the Pepsi Center (east lot of Pepsi Center, enter on Chopper Circle off of Speer) between 7:30 - 7:45.

If anybody wants to carpool, let's meet at the gym so we can leave by 6:30 am. I can be reached at 303-913-0928 if you need me the day of the race.

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing everyone at the race,

Lorie
